Ecocide as an International Crime?
Global and Canadian perspectives
Stop Ecocide Canada and the Stop Ecocide Foundation, along with the Canadian Partnership for International Justice, the Canada Research Chair on International Criminal Justice and Human Rights, the International Criminal and Humanitarian Law Clinic, and Université Laval’s Faculty of Law convene an Earth Day Forum to discuss global and Canadian perspectives on the crime of ecocide.

Jojo Mehta, Co-founder and Executive Director, Stop Ecocide International, Chair, Stop Ecocide Foundation
Darryl Robinson, Full Professor, Faculty of Law, Queen’s University
Géraud De Lassus Saint-Geniès, Assistant Professor, Faculté de droit, Université Laval.
It is intended that the Forum will create an initial space for exchange, between academics and practitioners from different disciplines in Canada, on the potential contribution of an international crime of ecocide to long-term ecosystem protection efforts.
