XR present a series of online discussions/presentations beginning 1st Feb, running for at least 2 weeks. The live streams will support a long march by local African activists to protest fossil fuel exploration in the Okavango Delta by Recon Africa (a company with UK offices).
Jojo Mehta, Co-Founder of Stop Ecocide International, has been invited to speak during episode 3.

Through a campaign of misinformation and intimidation that echoes Shell’s disastrous Niger Delta project, Canadian company ReconAfrica has secured drilling rights with intent to frack 13,600 square miles of unique, unspoilt ecosystem, home to 200,000 people and numerous endangered species.
On 1st Feb 2021, protestors began a 930 mile walk across South Africa to the Namibian embassy to raise international awareness.
